It is safe for food contact when dry and can be used for salad bowls and chopping boards. Re-application of one or two thin coats once a year will keep wood looking naturally ‘fresh’. This is has a slightly more reddish tinge than the US bottle I had. Anyway it is worth knowing if you are going to buy it to match something already oiled with this.
